Shane Tighe - Managing Director
Shane has been apart of the Plumbing Industry for 20 years with his career
spanning across the Residential, Commercial & Mining sectors in Australia,
and Internationally. Building is in his blood! He comes from a long family line
of successful Builders and Developers, all of whom were born and raised in
Ireland. Shane has a proven track record in leading teams across high value

Our Process
Estimation
At Plumbco, our estimators use BEAMS (building, estimating, management software) along with our plumbing design software to ensure our customers get a clear and accurate quote on every project, whether it be a large-scale commercial or residential project build. Our estimating team constantly reviews our supplier price files and plumbing legislation to ensure we always provide the most cost-effective compliant solutions.
Scheduling
Once the estimate is accepted and a contract is in place it is the turn of our admin team. Our admin team make all applications to ATCO Gas and The Plumbing Licensing Board on behalf of the customer. After the project is registered, our plumbing scheduler beings to review design, products, and labour, double checking that everything is compliant and accounted for. We have a dedicated scheduling service that looks after all job bookings from Pre-lay to Final fit off.
Safety
Safety is important to us and we prove it by submitting SWIMS (Safe Work Method Statements) JSA (Job Safety Analysis). All our staff and subcontractors are regularly inducted and trained to ensure every task is completed with safety in mind first. Our admin team ensure that all the subcontractors we engage have up-to-date public liability and insurance.
Getting On With The Job
At Plumbco, we pride ourselves on quality and only employ like-minded people. We ensure that all our full-time staff and subcontractors are fully trained, licensed and insured. We understand that that work must be done quickly and efficiently without undermining quality or safety, so we only send capable tradesmen to complete each task.
Supervision
Each one of our projects gets allocated to a supervisor or project manager that completes a full quality check at the end of each task. Our supervisors use a cloud-based quality system that is connected instantly with our office to ensure everyone in the team has a full picture of how the project is coming along. Each task is documented with a checklist, pictures, and an approval by the supervisor or project manager. This is how we ensure all our projects are complaint and complete to our exacting standards on time without delay.
Completion
Once all the works are complete, the plumbing supervisor or project manager does one last quality check, documenting everything with comments and photographs. Once the final checks are received by our admin team, they close off the job with the plumbing licensing board and create a final handover pack including as constructed drawings, the notice of compliance from the plumbing licensing board and gas compliance certificates.
